Saints Shopping Kenny Vaccaro

The New Orleans Saints are looking to deal safety Kenny Vaccaro and are reportedly actively shopping him on the market.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Saints spent the early portion of this week calling other NFL teams and shopping the former first-round safety.

Vaccaro is playing this season under his fifth-year option which is a one-year guaranteed contract worth $5.7 million.

Saints’ Terron Armstead to Miss 3-4 Weeks

New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead is expected to miss 3-4 weeks due to a pectoral injury, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Armstead suffered the injury during the Saints rout of the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Saints will now turn to veteran Jermon Bushrod to hold the fort while Armstead recovers, and can also turn to Michael Ola and/or Ryan Ramcczyk if they need to.

Armstead, 27, has had a stellar season for the Saints and ranks as the top left tackle in the league per Pro Football Focus metrics.

Saints’ Cameron Meredith Done For Year

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith will be placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Meredith has had his injury issues in the past, having torn his ACL and MCL before the 2017 season and although this particularly knee injury isn’t considered to be as serious as his prior issues, it still will keep him out for the rest of the season.

Meredith hauled in 9 receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown this season for New Orleans.

Saints Sign Dez Bryant

The New Orleans Saints have signed veteran wide receiver Dez Bryant to a one-year deal, according to Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune.

Bryant will formally sign the deal on Thursday and is a far cry from the offer he received from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this season, who offered him a three-year, $21 million contract that Bryant rejected.

Rejecting that deal proved to be foolish for Bryant who spent several more weeks on the free agent market, flirting withe the Cleveland Browns before eventually working out for the Saints this week and reaching an agreement on a contract.

New Orleans also worked out Brandon Marshall and Kamar Aiken.
