The Kirk Cousins Sweepstakes has yet to officially kick out, but that isn’t stopping players from trying to recruit the quarterback to their team this offseason.
Arizona Cardinals legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is doing his part to try and lure Cousins to the desert and take over for the retired Carson Palmer.
Cousins posted a photo on Instagram of he and Fitzgerald, indicating that Fitzgerald was trying to recruit him and, according to his post, is doing a good job.
“Ran into Fitz in the airport yesterday. He’s a GREAT recruiter!” Cousins wrote.
Arizona doesn’t have the cap space ammunition that other teams interested in Cousins due, such as the New York Jets, so they will have to be creative in their approach but they are hoping that their roster and talent can help convince Cousins to take his talents to Arizona.
Cardinals to Interview Ben McAdoo
The Arizona Cardinals have their head coach in Kliff Kingsbury, and now they are focusing on building his staff.
The Cardinals are interviewing former Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph to become their defensive coordinator, and also have plans for their offensive staff as well.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, McAdoo could be considered for the Cardinals’ offensive coordinator position, but could also be brought in as a “senior position on the offensive staff”.
Either way, Arizona is building their team around Kingsbury.

With Kliff Kingsbury officially at the helm of the Arizona Cardinals, the team is now looking to build his staff.
Joseph, who was fired by Denver at the end of the season, has been linked to the Cincinnati Bengals head coaching job.
Cardinals Hiring Kliff Kingsbury as Next Head Coach
The Arizona Cardinals are reeling in a hot collegiate coaching name as they are in the process of making former Texas Tech head coach and current USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury their next head coach, according to Fox Sports’ Pete Schrager.
Kingsbury recently took the job as the Trojans’ offensive coordinator, but a small buyout in his contract will allow him to jump ship, despite USC initially blocking him from interviews, according to The Athletic’s Jay Glazer.
The Cardinals fired Steve Wilks after one season, and had interviewed former Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, and Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy for their head coaching vacancy.
