Falcons Sign Michael Bennett

The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Michael Bennett, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

In a corresponding move, the Falcons waived Justin Zimmer to create a spot on the roster for Bennett, who earned the job after the Falcons worked out edge rushers Robert Ayers and Kony Ealy in addition to Bennett.

Bennett was released by the Jaguars organization back in early September to open open a space on the roster for Dante Fowler.

Falcons Activate Deion Jones

The Atlanta Falcons will be getting some needed help on the defensive side of the ball, as they have officially activated linebacker Deion Jones off of the injured reserve, according to Sirius XM’s Adam Caplan.

In a corresponding move, the Falcons waived offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo to clear a roster spot for a returning Jones.

Jones suffered a foot injury back in Week 1 and has been recovering ever since. After the Cleveland Browns lit up the Falcons’ defense this past week, seeing Jones back on the field will be a welcome site for Atlanta.

Falcons Sign Zane Beadles

The Atlanta Falcons have signed former San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Zane Beadles, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Beadles, 31, was released from San Francisco back in May. Beadles his starting job to Laken Tomlinson before last season and had been on a downward slide since then, failing to return to the form that helped him land a big free agent deal a few years back with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Falcons To Sign Austin Pasztor

The Atlanta Falcons will bolster their offensive line depth with the addition of offensive tackle Austin Pasztor who is inking a one-year deal with the club, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Pasztor, 28, returns to the Falcons, whom he played for during the 2017 regular season, and spent the offseason with Atlanta before being cut prior to the preseason, so his familiarity with the offensive will be welcomed.
