Buccaneers Sign Ali Marpet To Contract Extension

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed offensive lineman Ali Marpet to a five-year contract extension worth $55 million that will keep him under contract through the 2023 season, according to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo.

Marpet, a former second round draft pick, has served as a starter along the Bucs’ offensive line since he was drafted.

Dolphins Sign Adolphus Washington

The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran defensive tackle Adolphus Washington to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Washington, a former 2016 third round draft pick, has bounced around the league playing for three different teams during the 2018 season.

Washington, 24, spent last season with the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and the Cincinnati Bengals prior to being shut down with a knee injury before Thanksgiving.

Saints Sign Marshall Newhouse

The New Orleans Saints have signed veteran offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse, according to SiriusXM’s Adam Caplan.

Newhouse was acquired, via trade, from the Buffalo Bills for a conditional 2021 seventh-round pick last season.

Newhouse went on to play in 11 games for the Saints in 2018.
