Broncos’ Emmanuel Sanders Targeted by Teams

Denver Broncos veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is drawing interest from a number of teams ahead of the NFL trade deadline, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos are unwilling to part with Sanders, but are interested in dealing Demaryius Thomas and his bloated contract, and Sanders is starting to show flashes of his old form as of late.

Sanders is on pace for a 1,200+ receiving season while Thomas, who is also showing signs of a return to form, is inked to a hefty contract through 2019 and is owed $12 million this season along with a $17.53 million cap hit the following year.

Broncos Parting Ways with Brandon Marshall

The Denver Broncos will not be picking up the option on linebacker Brandon Marshall which will make him a free agent next month, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Marshall, 29, missed most of the 2018 season due to injuries, finishing with 42 tackles in 11 games played.

The Oakland Raiders have hired former New York Jets offensive coordinator John Morton to become their senior offensive assistant, according to a team announcement.

Morton, who had been out of the NFL for 2018, will join Kirby Wilson and Taver Johnson as new additions to Jon Gruden’s staff in Oakland.

Bengals Request to Interview Aaron Glenn Denied by Saints

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to run into dead ends as they continue to try and find their next defensive coordinator.

The Bengals had requested an interview with Glenn, the current secondary coach of the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Saints intend to block the Bengals from interviewing Glenn, forcing the Bengals to, yet again, go in a different direction in regards to their search.
