Jaguars Sign Landry Jones

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed quarterback Landry Jones, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Jones, 29, recently served as the backup signal caller to Ben Roethlisberger for the Pittsburgh Steelers but lost out in the competition this season to Joshua Dobbs and rookie quarterback Mason Rudolph.

Jones will add an insurance policy for the Jags behind Blake Bortles who is battling injury issues and performance issues.

Dolphins Sign Adolphus Washington

The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran defensive tackle Adolphus Washington to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Washington, a former 2016 third round draft pick, has bounced around the league playing for three different teams during the 2018 season.

Washington, 24, spent last season with the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and the Cincinnati Bengals prior to being shut down with a knee injury before Thanksgiving.

Bengals’ Alex Redmond Suspended Four Games

The National Football League has suspended Cincinnati Bengals guard Alex Redmon for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Kat Terrell.

Redmond started 15 games for the Bengals last season and was expected to slide into a reserve role this season.

Redmond was serviceable as he was part of an offensive line that helped Bengals’ running back Joe Mixon eclipse 1,000 yards rushing on the season.
