Vikings Fire OC John DeFilippo

After a dreadful performance during Monday Night’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the Minnesota Vikings have fired offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

After handing a massive, historic, three-year contract to quarterback Kirk Cousins during the offseason, and luring DeFilippo from his quarterbacks coaching job with the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles to guide their offense, the results have been underwhelming.

Cousins has not lived up to the hype and, for now, DeFilippo is the fallguy.

Vikings quarterbacks coach Kevin Stefanski will replace DeFilippo as offensive coordinator moving forward, according to The MMQB’s Albert Breer.
