Packers Hiring Matt LaFleur as Next Head Coach

The Green Bay Packers are expected to hire Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur as their next head coach, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

LaFleur beat out Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken for the job, but the Packers moved quick on their hiring of Lafluer.

Packers Release Kapri Bibbs

The Green Bay Packers have released veteran running back Kapri Bibbs, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

The Packers claimed Bibbs off of waivers from the Washington Redskins back in December of 2018.

Bibbs carried the ball one time for 13 yards, and hauled in 3 passes for 13 yards during that span.

Prior to being cut from the Redskins, Bibbs posted 101 yards and three touchdowns, adding 13 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Packers’ Josh Jones Wants Trade

Green Bay Packers safety Josh Jones, a former second round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, is seeking a trade, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.

Jones is currently skipping the Packers’ OTAs with the intent of forcing his way out of Green Bay.

Jones finished his 2nd season by collecting 55 tackles, one sack, and two passes defended.

Packers Claim Sam Ficken

The Green Bay Packers have claimed veteran kicker Sam Ficken off of waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

Ficken will now compete with Mason Crosby for the starting kicker job after he served as the replacement for an injured Greg Zuerlein when he was with the Los Angeles Rams.
