The Arizona Cardinals are reeling in a hot collegiate coaching name as they are in the process of making former Texas Tech head coach and current USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury their next head coach, according to Fox Sports’ Pete Schrager.
Kingsbury recently took the job as the Trojans’ offensive coordinator, but a small buyout in his contract will allow him to jump ship, despite USC initially blocking him from interviews, according to The Athletic’s Jay Glazer.
The Cardinals fired Steve Wilks after one season, and had interviewed former Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, and Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy for their head coaching vacancy.
Cardinals Sign Kevin White
Cardinals Signing Jordan Hicks
Hicks will receiver a $12 million signing bonus and his new deal includes $20 million guaranteed.
Hicks has spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cardinals Signing Terrell Suggs
Suggs has spent his entire 16-year career with the Baltimore Ravens, so it will be odd to see him suiting up for a different team in 2018.
Suggs, who is the Ravens franchise leader in sacks with 132.5 and games played with 229, collected 34 tackles and 7 sacks last season for the Ravens.
