On January 23rd, 2019, the Arizona Cardinals made the announcement that they re-signed veteran wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald. Larry Fitzgerald has played 16 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. The 35 year old veteran signed a one year contract with the Cardinals.
According to NFL.com, team president Michael Bidwill said; “No player has meant more to this franchise or this community than Larry Fitzgerald.” Bidwill also said; “In my discussions with him, it was clear that he is as driven and as passionate as ever. We are thrilled he’ll be back for 2019.” Today Cardinal fans will rejoice in the fact that their star veteran and future Hall of Fame recipient will be on the field for the 2019 season.
Cardinals Not Trading Patrick Peterson
The Arizona Cardinals will not be trading All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson, despite constant rumors to the contrary.
According to AZCardinals.com’s Darren Urban, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has made it clear that the team intends to hold on to Peterson despite trade rumors.
“We’re not trading Pat and that’s something we’ve been very consistent with,” Keim said. “You always ask yourself, does a move make us better or worse? To lose someone like Pat Peterson would make us worse.”
Cardinals, Raiders Interested in Jalen Ramsey
The Jacksonville Jaguars are working towards trading disgruntled All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and two teams have emerged as potential suitors.
Despite the interest, the Raiders may have an issue inking Ramsey to an extension as cash flow could become a hurdle, according to the Oakland Tribune’s Jerry McDonald.
The Raiders have two first round picks in the 2020 draft, and the Jags are reportedly seeking two first rounders in return for Ramsey.
The Jaguars have received offers, and it is believed that a trade will be completed by the end of the week.
