The New York Jets have decided not to pick up the option bonus on veteran center Spencer Long and have released him to free agency, according to the New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta.
Despite the release, the Jets are interested in bringing Long back at a reduced rate, per the report.
With the move, the Jets free up $6.5 million in cap space.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Saints intend to block the Bengals from interviewing Glenn, forcing the Bengals to, yet again, go in a different direction in regards to their search.
