The Carolina Panthers have re-signed veteran safety Eric Reid to a three-year deal worth more than $22 million and could raise the total value of the deal to $24 million, according to NFL.com’s Mike Silver.
Reid, 27, was set to hit unrestricted free agency this offseason, but will not test the open market, opting to stay in Carolina.
Reid collected 71 tackles, five passes defensed, one interception, and one sack this season for Carolina.
Panthers’ Cam Newton Provides Update on Shoulder

“It’s good. It’s good,” Newton said during an interview with 680 The Fan in Atlanta, h/t ESPN.
“It’s better than I thought it would be. With so much going on throughout this season, I was in fear to see what actually was wrong.”

Panthers Re-Sign Efe Obada
The Carolina Panthers have re-signed defensive end Efe Obada to a one-year deal, the team officially announced.
Obada, who was set to be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, was the first player in league history to move from the league’s International Pathway Program to an active roster.
Obada was named NFC defensive player of the week back in September following his impressive performance against the Cincinnati Bengals, when he notched a sack and an interception.
