Amid a number of rumors that the Arizona Cardinals would use the 1st overall pick to select quarterback Kyler Murray in this April’s NFL Draft, new head coach Kliff Kingsbury has stated his commitment to young signal caller Josh Rosen.

According to AZCardinals.com’s Darren Urban, Kingsbury was asked about the possibility of the team drafting Murray and responded by stating that Rosen is “our guy”.

Rosen was the Cardinals’ first round draft pick last season, and was underwhelming in his rookie season, although the Cardinals didn’t have much success as a whole.

Rosen threw for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns, 14 interceptions with a 55.2% completion percentage last season for Arizona.

While they’re already slated to have about nine or 10 picks, they could increase that by three or four more this year by trading back, and use those picks to essentially revamp one or both sides of the ball.”
