The Seattle Seahawks have hired former NFL quarterback Austin Davis as an offensive assistant following his release from the Tennssee Titans, according to a team announcement.

Davis has not formally announced his retirement, but by taking a job on the sidelines with Seattle, it seems as though Davis is ready to call it a career.

Cowboys’ Randy Gregory Applying for Reinstatement

Dallas Cowboys’ pass rusher Randy Gregory is set to apply for reinstatement into the NFL this week, according to NFL Network insdier Ian Rapoport.

Gregory played in 14 games last season for Dallas last season, but his career has been marred by suspensions.

It’s unclear if the NFL will grant him reinstatement given how recently, and frequently, he has been suspended, but his return would be a major boost to the Cowboys’ defensive line this season.

Raiders Sign Jonathan Cooper

The Oakland Raiders have signed veteran offensive lineman Jonathan cooper, according to NFL Network insider Jonathan Cooper.

Cooper, 29, is a former 1st round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals and has bounced around the league since flaming out in Arizona.

Cooper will likely provide solid depth to the Raiders’ offensive line, as well as some insurance in case Richie Incognito is suspended.

Martavis Bryant Applies for Reinstatement

Former NFL wide receiver Martavis Bryant, who last played for the Oakland Raiders, has formally applied for reinstatement into the NFL, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Bryant started 2 games for the Raiders last season, following his trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers, but was suspended by the NFL shortly after.

Bryant has been suspended a handful for times by the NFL throughout his career, and it will be interesting to see if his application for reinstatement is granted.
