Vikings Expected to Re-Sign Brett Jones
The Minnesota Vikings are working on bringing back veteran center Brett Jones, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson.
Jones, 28, was cut by the Vikings last week following their signing of wide receiver Josh Doctson, but it was rumored that he would eventually be brought back to Minnesota.
Jones was traded from the Giants to the Vikings in exchange for a seventh-rounder last summer.
Vikings Sign Josh Doctson
Doctson, a former first round pick of the Washington Redskins, was selected one spot ahead of wide receiver Laquon Treadwell who was recently cut by the Vikings after failing to develop into a viable receiver.
Doctson played with Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins when the two were together in Washington, and Doctson had his best season when he did.
Vikings, Kyle Rudolph Agree to Contract Extension
According to the Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling, Rudolph’s new deal will see him earn $9 million in 2019, fully guaranteed, while his 2020 salary is guaranteed for injury.
Rudolph spoke about the deal on Twitter:
