Odell Beckham Jr. Is Heading To Cleveland

On March 12, 2019, superstar wide-receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been traded to the Cleveland Browns. Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to Cleveland for a first–round pick, a third-round pick and S Jabril Peppers. The former New York Giant made his mark in the league after making “the catch” in 2014 against the Dallis Cowboys. Beckham became a breakout star after his rookie season.

Fans and analysts are still shocked by the breaking news. Dave Gettleman’s decision to trade Odell Beckham Jr. hit fans differently especially since it was said “we didn’t sign Odell to trade him”. This was also shocking after Beckhman signed a $95 million contract with $65 million guaranteed in August of 2018. This news broke the hearts of New York Giant fans, however brought joy to the city of Cleveland.

Browns Sign Morgan Burnett

The Cleveland Browns have signed veteran safety Morgan Burnett to a two-year, $9 million max deal, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Burnett, who was unhappy with how he was used during his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was released recently from the Steelers.

Burnett spent the majority of his career with the Green Bay Packers, and will now compete for the Browns’ starting strong safety job.

Browns’ Duke Johnson Requests Trade

Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson has officially requested a trade, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot.

Johnson is already believed to be on the trade block and has reportedly drawn interest from the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles.

Johnson, 25, had become upset due to his lack of touches last season and would be an appealing piece on the trade market considering his team-friendly three-year, $15.6 million contract.

Johnson’s touches dropped from 156 in 2017 to 87 last season and saw his total yards from scrimmage drop from 1,042 in 2017 to 630 in 2018.

Chiefs Acquire Emmanuel Ogbah

The Kansas City Chiefs have acquired defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for safety Eric Murray, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Ogbah appeared in 14 games for the Browns in 2018, collected 3 sacks over 14 games.

Murray, 25, made a career-high nine starts for the Chiefs last season, collecting 55 tackles and 2 pass deflections.
