Cowboys Re-Sign Tavon Austin

The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed veteran wide receiver Tavon Austin, according to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo.

Austin played mostly on special teams for the Cowboys last season, but was mostly an after-though in their offense.

Dallas will give Austin another chance to ear his spot, and more playing time in 2019.

Cowboys Sign Kerry Hyder

The Dallas Cowboys have signed defensive lineman Kerry Hyder to a one-year deal, according to the Dallas Morning News’ David Moore.

Hyder, 27, was non-tendered by the Detroit Lions following a disappointing 2018 season in which he appeared in only 7 games and collected only one sack during that time.

Hyder missed the entire 2017 season due to a torn Achilles.

Cowboys to Target Earl Thomas

As expected, the Dallas Cowboys will be making a “strong push” for Seattle Seahawks veteran safety Earl Thomas this offseason despite Thomas’ likely high price tag, according to the Dallas Morning News’ David Moore.

Thomas is reportedly seeking a deal that will pay him around $13 million per year, but the Cowboys are apparently not scared off by that price.

Sean Lee Returning to Cowboys

Veteran linebacker Sean Lee with be returning to the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 and the two sides are working on a new contract, according to the Dallas Morning News’ David Moore.

Lee was considered to be on the roster bubble this offseason, but the Cowboys had expressed their desire to find a way to bring him back to the team in 2019.

Details regarding the new deal were not available at the time of this writing.
