Browns’ David Njoku Says Team Felt Disrespected by Hue Jackson’s Comments

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is speaking out over the comments made by former head coach Hue Jackson following his dismissal during the 2018 season.

“Well, obviously we weren’t happy with what Hue said about us after he left” Njoku said, during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show.

“It is what it is. Baker (Mayfield) didn’t appreciate it. We came together after Hue left and took it upon ourselves to work extra hard to finish the year strong. Baker has a voice, as well all do, and he didn’t appreciate what happened. It’s not like we’re robots.

We felt, in a way, disrespected.”

Cleveland has turned things around and is considered, by many, to be a Super Bowl contender heading into the 2019 season.

Bengals, Tyler Boyd Agree to Contract Extension

The Cincinnati Bengals and wide receiver Tyler Boyd have agreed to a four-year, $43 million contract extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Boyd’s new deal will keep him in Cincinnati through the 2023 season, and he now becomes one of the league’s top-paid slot receivers.

Boyd hauled in 76 receptions for 1,028 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Bengals last season.

Bills Hire Brian Gaine

The Buffalo Bills have hired former Houston Texans general manager Brian Gaine as their new Senior Personnel Adviser.

Gaine is familiar with the Bills organization, serving as the Vice President of Player Personnel under general manager Brandon Beane back in 2017.

Gaine left Buffalo to take the general manager job with the Texans, but was let go this offseason as part of the Texans’ failed pursuit of the New England Patriots’ Nick Caserio.

Raiders Sign Jonathan Cooper

The Oakland Raiders have signed veteran offensive lineman Jonathan cooper, according to NFL Network insider Jonathan Cooper.

Cooper, 29, is a former 1st round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals and has bounced around the league since flaming out in Arizona.

Cooper will likely provide solid depth to the Raiders’ offensive line, as well as some insurance in case Richie Incognito is suspended.
