Cowboys Release Allen Hurns

The Dallas Cowboys have released veteran wide receiver Allen Hurns, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Dallas apparently asked Hurns to take a pay cut this offseason, so it’s likely that their request and this release are related.

Hurns hauled in 20 passes for 295 yardss and 2 touchdowns last season, which was a far cry from expectations when the Cowboys inked him to a two-year, $12 million contract.

The Dallas Cowboys have released pass rusher Taco Charlton after failing to find a suitable trade, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Charlton never lived up to his lofty draft selection, when the Cowboys utilized a 1st round pick a few years ago.

With the return of defensive end Robert Quin from suspension, Charlton no longer had a place on the roster.

Cowboys to Release Taco Charlton if No Trade is Made

Should the Dallas Cowboys fail to find a suitable deal for pass rusher Taco Charlton, they plan to release him, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and Jane Slater.

Charlton, a former first round draft pick, has been a major disappointment during his short career, and with the return of defensive end Robert Quinn from a two-game ban, there is no more room for Charlton on the roster.

Charlton, 24, has battled injuries during his career, and has been hit with the injury bug this past offseason.

The Dallas Cowboys released linebacker Rolando McClain, according to the Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins.

McClain, who was recently granted conditional reinstatement into the NFL, has stated his desire to continue his playing career.

McClain, 30, hasn’t played since the 2015 season.
