Dolphins Interested In Robert Nkemdiche

The Miami Dolphins are interested in former Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche, according to The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.

Per the report, the Dolphins have made “preliminary due diligence inquiry calls” regarding Nkemdiche, who has been plagued by injuries throughout his career and is currently recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in December.

Nkemdiche, 24, would be a low-cost risk for a rebuilding Dolphins, who need depth along the defensive front.

Nkemdiche collected 4.5 sacks last season in Arizona, who cut him when he showed up to camp out of shape.

Ravens Signing Paul Worrilow

The Baltimore Ravens are signing veteran linebacker Paul Worrilow pending a physical, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

Worrilow, 29, is expected to provide depth for the Ravens linebacker corps, and was recently cut by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Worrilow missed the 2018 season due to injury, and health concerns led to his recent cut from the Eagles.

Chargers’ Placing Derwin James On IR

The Los Angeles Chargers will place safety Derwin James on IR prior to Week 1 of the regular season, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

James underwent foot surgery on Thursday and there is currently not a timeline for his return to the field.

James suffered a stress fracture and is expected to need about 3 months worth of recovery time.

With the move to the injure reserve list, James is now eligible to return in Week 9, but may need more time than that.

The New England Patriots are not interested in a trade for Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

The Patriots have been tied to Williams since rumors started swirling that the Redskins were looking to trade the disgruntled Williams, who is currently staging a hold out.

There were rumors that the Pats were willing to trade a first rounder for Williams, but the Redskins turned it down.
