Bengals’ Christian Westerman Returns To Team

Cincinnati Bengals guard Christian Westerman has decided to return to the team after he reportedly contemplated retirement.

The Bengals removed Westerman from the exempt/left squad list.

Cincinnati will be happy to see the return of Westerman, who was drafted back in 2016, as the team has seen a number of injuries hit their offensive line this summer.

Dolphins, Eric Rowe Agree to Contract Extension

The Miami Dolphins and veteran cornerback Eric Rowe have agreed to terms on a three-year, $18 million contract extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Rowe, 27, signed with the Dolphins this past offseason, and has started 11 games for Miami, playing cornerback and safety at various points. Rowe now joins Allen Hurns as players the team has worked out new contracts with during the season.

Rowe has notched a career high 58 tackles for the Dolphins this season.

Jaguars’ Gardner Minshew Takes Starting Job

The Jacksonville Jaguars are moving on from quarterback Nick Foles and going to rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew for the rest of the season, according to an official team announcement on Monday.

Minshew initially took the starting gig when Foles suffered a broken collarbone earlier in the season, but Foles’ recent return resulted in blowout losses and clear struggles to be productive, leading the Jags to go back to Minshew.

Foles inked a four-year, $88 million deal with the Jags during the offseason, including $50 million guaranteed, but the Jags may already be looking to move on from Foles this offseason.

Broncos’ Derek Wolfe Done For Season

Denver Broncos’ defensive end Derek Wolfe will miss the remainder of the season due to an elbow injury, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Wolfe spoke to the media following the Broncos victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, saying “It doesn’t look good,” when discussing his injury, which he believes is a dislocation, according to 9News’ Mike Klis.

Wolfe is scheduled to hit free agency this offseason.
