Cardinals Sign Jordan Mills

The Arizona Cardinals have signed veteran right tackle Jordan Mills to a one-year, $1.25 million deal, according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Mills worked out for the Cardinals on Monday. Mills was cut from the Miami Dolphins following a less-than-stellar showing in camp and the preseason.

Mills is likely going to provide depth along the Cardinals offensive line.

Cardinals Place D.J. Foster On IR

The Arizona Cardinals placed running back D.J. Foster on the injured reserve list on Monday, putting the rest of his 2019 season in jeopardy.

The move comes following the Cardinals’ acquisition of running back Kenyan Drake, whom they acquired from the Miami Dolphins earlier this week.

Foster was primarily utilized on special teams, and has clocked 184 yards in eight kickoff returns during the 2019 season.

Cardinals Working Out Jay Ajayi

The Arizona Cardinals are working out veteran running back Jay Ajayi, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Ajayi is set to take a physical and workout for the team on Monday and Tuesday, and appears to be fully healthy following a torn ACL and injury riddled 2018 season.

Ajayi helped the Philadelphia Eagles win a Super Bowl back in 2017, following a mid-season trade from the Miami Dolphins, where he earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2018.

Cardinals Not Trading Patrick Peterson

The Arizona Cardinals will not be trading All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson, despite constant rumors to the contrary.

According to AZCardinals.com’s Darren Urban, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has made it clear that the team intends to hold on to Peterson despite trade rumors.

“We’re not trading Pat and that’s something we’ve been very consistent with,” Keim said. “You always ask yourself, does a move make us better or worse? To lose someone like Pat Peterson would make us worse.”
