Philadelphis Eagles veteran defensive tackle Malik Jackson is expected to miss the remainder of the 2019 season due to a Lisfranc injury, according to NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Jackson suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

Jackson is scheduled to undergo surgery next week and will be places on injured reserve later this week.

The Indianapolis Colts have released veteran running back Spencer Ware, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Ware was previously placed on injured reserve after he tore a ligament in his knee this offseason, leading the Colts to place him on the PUP list, something that Ware did not like.

Prior reports indicated that the Colts and Ware were working towards an injury settlement, and that may be the case here.

The Arizona Cardinals will not be trading All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson, despite constant rumors to the contrary.

According to AZCardinals.com’s Darren Urban, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has made it clear that the team intends to hold on to Peterson despite trade rumors.

“We’re not trading Pat and that’s something we’ve been very consistent with,” Keim said. “You always ask yourself, does a move make us better or worse? To lose someone like Pat Peterson would make us worse.”
