The Minnesota Vikings have put the wheels in motion for the return of wide receiver Josh Doctson, who was designated for return on Wednesday.
Doctson, who has been out with a hamstring injury, will return to practice and could be eligible to play as soon as Week 10.
Doctson signed with the Vikings during free agency this past offseason.
Vikings’ Adam Thielen Could Miss Thursday Night Game
According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Thielen is considered “day-to-day” which is good news considering the fear that set in when Theilen left the game with the injury on Sunday.
While Thielen is likely going to miss Thursday Night’s tilt against the Washington Redskins, the Vikings could have him back on the field soon thereafter.
Vikings Expected to Re-Sign Brett Jones
The Minnesota Vikings are working on bringing back veteran center Brett Jones, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson.
Jones, 28, was cut by the Vikings last week following their signing of wide receiver Josh Doctson, but it was rumored that he would eventually be brought back to Minnesota.
Jones was traded from the Giants to the Vikings in exchange for a seventh-rounder last summer.
Vikings Sign Josh Doctson
Doctson, a former first round pick of the Washington Redskins, was selected one spot ahead of wide receiver Laquon Treadwell who was recently cut by the Vikings after failing to develop into a viable receiver.
Doctson played with Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins when the two were together in Washington, and Doctson had his best season when he did.
